Why we love transracial adoption...

“You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.” Revelation 5:9

"The ultimate community of God is transnational, transtribal, transracial, translinguistic. In that sense, Los Angeles is a better anticipation of heaven than Tulsa, Oklahoma. Let the church, strengthened by the grace of God, live out now, as largely as possible, what she will one day be."

(Carson, D. A. (1998). For the love of God : A daily companion for discovering the riches of God's Word.)

I hope you don't mind my commenting... I happened upon your blog and wanted to say how lovely your family is.

We adopted our son through foster care and are now praying about adopting either through foster care again or going to Uganda. We definitely have a heart for both, so we will see where He leads!

You have a great blog and a beautiful family!

Thank you for your comment and the kind words. It's always exciting to hear from others who have a heart for adoption! May God bless your family as you seek to adopt again. :)

Hi! I found your blog thru a comment you made on Flitterbug. We are 5 days into our "official wait" for a domestic/infant/transracial adoption, so of course I'm on the look-out for other families I can learn from. Loved seeing your blog! Wondered if I could borrow this quote for when I post on my blog about why we're choosing transracial adoption? dundores.blogspot.com
All 4 of your children are beautiful. Blessings to your family!!

We did a transracial adoption.

Both my husband and I are caucasian and our son is African American. Your little one is absolutely adorable.

Our son is 22 now and I'm so sad that he's all grown up. He's the most adorable, gentle, and sweet man.

Blessings to you and your family.
