Settling into "normal" again...

After a few wild weeks, life is finally settling down in our home. We have been so thankful for the two weeks Luke had off work. It was such a sweet time for our family, having all five of us home for that length of time. We got a lot done around the house, did some fun family stuff together, and got adjusted to having a baby in the home again! It had been almost four years since we had a newborn, and it was a little bit of an adjustment. Thankfully, Andrew is remaining a very easy-going little guy which has made the transition so much easier.

Luke goes back to work Friday and Isaac and I started home-schooling again this week, so life is starting to return to "normal" again. Here's some highlights from the last two weeks around our home:

-Introducing our friends and family to Andrew. So many people have prayed for us and journeyed along with us through this process, it was really fun to share this joyous event with them. Andrew had many people excited to welcome him home!

-Getting family pictures taken! A good friend, Lindsey, came over yesterday and did a photo shoot with our family. I haven't seen the pictures yet, but she should have them ready soon. I'll post some on the blog once I get them.

-Watching Andrew grow! He has developed quite the double chin, and his legs are losing the newborn "chicken leg" look. I took him to the doctor last week and he was already up to 8 lb. 6 oz.!

The adoption process has been a life-changing experience in so many ways. Not only has Andrew's life changed dramatically, but ours did as well. It has been an amazing experience overall, and Luke and I are already talking about when, not if, we will adopt again.

(I was going to post some pictures with this post, but Blogger is not cooperating with me. Maybe later, if Blogger is in a better mood, I will post some more pictures from the last week.)
